Salt, avocado, chocolate, milk, alcohol, meat, soft drinks, carbonated drinks, sugar in general, coffee, raw tubers, parsley, eggplant, onions, garlic, apple or pear seeds, fried foods, foods with coloring, artificial flavours, preserves, artificial juices, spices.

Even though we shouldn’t give him milk, we can add unsalted dairy products to his diet, always in a measure. Pipes and nuts should be avoided in Amazonian species, as there is a strong tendency to obesity and these foods are very caloric.

Symptoms of poisoning

Some of the symptoms are as follows:

• loss of appetite
• Little mobility.
• Shortness of breath and open beak.
• Significant increase in water intake.
• Isolation in the corner of the cage.
• Diarrhea, weight loss.
